Welcome to the St Jude’s website.

I consider myself privileged to hold the position of Principal. St Jude’s is a co-educational school for children from Pre-School to Year 6, which has been operating for over 45 years, first enrolling in 1975. Our students come from Weston Creek and Molonglo areas.

In 2023 our enrolments included 410 students in K-6, with a further 66 students in our Preschool. Our formal enrolment period runs throughout the month of May, however, space permitted, we are always open to enrolling students who meet system-based guidelines. As a Catholic school, everything we do is based on Gospel teachings. Catholic teachings permeate every part of our day - whether it be through formal instruction or interaction, there is an expectation that both staff and students uphold our values at all times.

Our school is well resourced, with the most effective teaching strategies utilized within the classrooms. We have specialist teachers in Music, Library, and Indonesian who customize lessons - building on previous learning and experiences.

Our students continue to strive to be the very best they can be - supporting each other as learners and challenging each other as leaders of the future. We thrive on fostering a love of reading. We aim to create students that understand that through reading they both make meaning of, and connections to, the world around us.  

We are resolute in remaining innovative, constantly looking for areas to develop and review our practices and facilities in order to best benefit our children and community. Our ambition is to maintain a school environment that our children love coming to. St Jude’s is not purely bricks and mortar. It is a living, breathing community grounded in Catholic values, where students aim for personal bests, staff differentiate learning, and parents work collaboratively.
